Elvira Fatykhova

Born in the city of Ufa in Russia. From 1988 to 1992, studied singing in Ufa College of Arts. From 1992 to 1997, continued her education in the Ufa Institute of Arts. After graduation,joined as soloist in the Bashkirian State Opera House. In 1999, took part in the Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival in (Turkey) where sang the part of Gilda in “Rigoletto” by Verdi. In the same year, she was invited to the cast of the Ankara Opera House (Turkey). In 1995, took part in the International Glinka Competition and got a special prize. She is the winner of the Grand Prix of the Almuhametov competition in Ufa in 1996 and was the finalist of Competizione dell’Opera 2002 in Dresden (Germany).

She sang number of solo concers with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra and Istanbul, Izmir and Mersin State Opera Houses. Sang “Carmina Burana” by Orff in Side Music Festival in Side/Turkey in October 2002. She made her Australia debut in role of Violetta in the gala performance of “La Traviata” and the concert in September 2003 in Hobart with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (Australia). Sang the part of Violetta in 2003 and the part of Lucia in "Lucia di Lammermoor" by Donizetti in November 2004 in Split Opera House (Croatia) and Requiem by Mozart with Chorus and Orchestra of Split Opera House in 2004. She appeared in the role of Manon by Massenet in Sydney Opera House in Summer Season 2004. Had concerts of Requiem by Mozart with Haydn Symphony Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento/Italy in July 2003 and May 2004. She have had 6 New Year concers with same orchestra in December 2004 – January 2005. Sang the title role in “La Traviata” in August 2005 with West Australian Opera Company in Perth and with Opera New Zealand in September – October 2005 in Auckland and Wellington. Sang the New Year Concers with Hong Kong Philharmonic Sympony Orchestra in December 2005. She has been engaged with Queensland/Opera Company to sing Lucia di Lammermoor in Brisbane in 2006 and with Opera Australia for "La Traviata" in 2007. She is still singing at the Ankara State Opera/Turkey.
