the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth, Yundi Li, winner of the
14th International Frederick Chopin Competition in Warsaw,
joins Edo de Waart in Chopin’s sparkling First Concerto.

paintings in Florence’s Uffizi museum, but the majesty of
ancient Rome produced his most impressive orchestral score,
climaxing in a parade of military might down the Appian Way,
