Praised by Gramophone as “the complete violinist, with an exceptionally precise, reliable technique, splendid tone and presence, and discerning musicianship”, Baiba Skride will bring to the Hong Kong audience the passion and beauty of Tchaikovsky’s glorious concerto, one of the most important as well as popular concertos written for the instrument. Renowned Chinese conductor Zhang Guoyong, who trained at the Moscow State Conservatory, is an expert in Russian works especially the music of Shostakovich.
