About SWIRE Maestro Series
Forming the backbone of the 2006/07 season is the Swire Maestro Series which brings together leading conductors and soloists in major works of the symphonic repertoire. Edo de Waart continues his Mahler odyssey with the mammoth Third Symphony; David Atherton reaches the mid-point of his Sibelius cycle with the Fourth and Fifth Symphonies and three of the world’s greatest violinists perform three of the greatest concertos: Repin, Hahn and Bell playing Beethoven, Brahms and Tchaikovsky.
