The Hong Kong Philharmonic Society Limited oversees the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the territory’s flagship orchestra which under the direction of Maestro Edo de Waart, has emerged as one of the leading ensembles in Asia with a growing reputation for excellence. Its annual programme encompasses full-scale symphonic performances both in and outside Hong Kong, extensive education and outreach activities and collaborations with many of the world's finest performing artists.
The Chief Executive, preferably fluent in English, Putonghua and Cantonese, should have a minimum of 10 years experience in arts administration, excellent communication skills and an appreciation of orchestral music. The successful candidate will be responsible to the Board through the Chairman for the management of the office and the orchestra, the development and advancement of audience-building, fund raising, marketing, public relations, sponsorship strategies and programmes in line with the vision and mission of the Society, as well as the programming, hiring of personnel and planning of the concert season in consultation with the Board and the Artistic Director of the Society.
