Orchestral Officer
The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra has established itself as one of the leading orchestras in Asia, with a busy annual season of performances involving 90 full-time musicians and programs ranging from Mahler symphonies to an extensive education and outreach program and increased touring activity into China.
The Orchestral Officer is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the Head of Orchestra and Operations. The role focuses on the coordination of travel, accommodation and visa arrangements for our musicians, while assisting in other operational areas such as tour coordination, venue booking, and orchestral auditions. The Officer is also required to provide assistance to the Orchestral Librarian in bowing string parts and photocopying.
We are seeking a motivated individual who has strong communication skills and a passion for working in the performing arts. Experience in travel coordination would be highly desirable, as well as a musical background for the purposes of library assistance. Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English is essential. The position requires occasional evening and weekend work as well as occasional travel.
