The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra gratefully acknowledges its principal patron, Swire Group Charitable Trust, for its support of the Orchestra's artistic and educational missions.

In April 2006, the Swire Group Charitable Trust became the first principal patron of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, committing HK$36 million over three years, with a view to support the growth, development and promotion of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Edo de Waart. Through this sponsorship, which is the largest in the Orchestra's history, Swire would also endeavor to promote artistic excellence, provide access and stimulate cultural participation in Hong Kong and Mainland China and to enhance Hong Kong's reputation as one of the cities of the world.
